Daniel Baquerizo, Esq. joined the firm in 2011 and has been focusing on Workers’ Compensation defense, subrogation, and liability. Daniel has tried two Georgia workers’ compensations trials, and remains undefeated. In both matters, the ALJ denied any further medical and indemnity benefits. He grew up in a bilingual family and is a fluent Spanish speaker.
Daniel graduated cum laude from Ave Maria University in 2003. He earned his J.D. degree at Ave Maria School of Law, where he was an editor on the Ave Maria Law Review. He also earned a book award for his top marks in his Trial Advocacy course.
Daniel has interned at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, and Third District Court of Appeal. He is a member of the Blackstone Legal Fellowship. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2010 and is a member of the Workers’ Compensation, Labor and Employment Law, and Young Lawyers Divisions of the Florida Bar. In addition, Daniel was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2014. Since 2013, Daniel has written a Florida Workers’ Compensation Digest update with a semi-weekly circulation of about 2,500 claim handlers.
