Lauren M. Levy

Lauren M. Levy, Esq. has been practicing law since 1995. Lauren defends employers in wage and hour claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and employment discrimination claims, including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Title VII discrimination claims. In addition, Lauren litigates and writes appeals in workers’ compensation cases. Lauren has also pursued and recovered subrogation funds for workers’ compensation employers and carriers.

Lauren has tried cases in both state and federal court, totaling approximately 45 jury trials, and over 300 non‑jury trials. For seven years, she worked in civil litigation, defending clients including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, pharmacies, home health equipment providers, physicians and blood banks.

Lauren graduated with honors from the University of Kentucky with a B.B.A. in Business Management in 1992. She earned her J.D. from the University of Louisville School of Law and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1995. Lauren is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2018, she was admitted to the District of Columbia Bar. She is a member of the Labor & Employment and the Workers’ Compensation Divisions of the Florida Bar.  Lauren has prevailed in appeals before the 1st DCA, including a 2021 reported decision.
